One year on: Barnardo’s captures more Gift Aid with Cybertill
Partnering with leading charity technology company based in Knowsley, Cybertill, Barnardo’s has futureproofed its retail operation
Barnardo’s has generated £15m profit in 2018 across its 700 shops in the UK since implementing the award-winning Cybertill CharityStore platform.
Having used Cybertill to access instant access to management information for just one year, Barnardo’s has seen profits rise by 25 per cent.
Roy Clark, Director of Retail and Trading at Barnardo’s said: “Information is power. Each morning I receive a set of emails from the team at Cybertill, that shows me the KPIs (key performance indicators) and allows me to understand how the business is performing against those key metrics.”
Before working with Cybertill, Barnardo’s found it difficult to get the instant access to data such as sales progress, Gift Aid capture, and daily shop sales.
Using the Cybertill CharityStore platform has shifted the culture within the business, helping to set dynamic KPIs and implement a reward and recognition process.
Roy Clark added: “It makes it easy for us to understand upward and downward trends in performance, meaning we can intervene before it’s too late.”
Cybertill’s CharityStore software solution is a retail management system for the charity market, taking high street best practice and making it available to charity retail. The innovative software makes the Gift Aid process digital, automated and compliant with HMRC and GDPR, as well as providing access to real-time data.
Roy Clark said: “Since implementing Cybertill’s CharityStore platform it’s not uncommon for stores to hit more than 70% Gift Aid capture.”
Ian Tomlinson, founder and CEO at Cybertill comments that, “we’re incredibly proud of the team here at Cybertill and the efforts they have gone through to move Barnardo’s over to EPoS. It’s been a good year, but we hope to keep improving our offering, so they can continue to maximise revenues and Gift Aid capture for the charity.”
